I started building because I wanted things that did not exist yet — an air quality monitor for my parents’ flat, an AR game, a copy-trading bot at 3am during a hackathon, etc.

Most of what I know came from shipping small things badly and then fixing them. I have written the schema, the API, the frontend, the deploy config and the CSS for the same product often enough that I stopped thinking of them as separate jobs. Owning all of it is also what got me interested in why we were building any of it.

That habit of owning the whole thing is what led me to run Blue Layer Studio for the better part of two years — client sites, start to finish, my own name on the invoice, growing from just me to a team of six working across time zones. But, These days most of that energy goes into shipping at Accenture.

Right now I am drawn to the parts of engineering that are hard to fake: systems and cloud architecture, the DevOps and MLOps work that keeps things running once they ship, and building with MCP and agents rather than just around them.
